Mounting A Campaign Is Challenging During COVID-19

All levels of government are having to reshuffle the way they do business during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The restrictions on gatherings and in-person contact are especially challenging for those trying to get their foot in the door of government.

Tom Watson is an Abilene attorney challenging Jodey Arrington for the 19th District Seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.  He got19,910 votes in the March 3rdprimary.  But in a district that has leaned heavily republican for decades, he has a lot of work to do to connect with voters by November.  So far Watson's campaign has had to focus on communicating with voters through his website and Facebook page, but he hopes to be able to meet voters in person this summer.
