Maestro David Itkin conducts the Abilene Philharmonic

Here's a sneak peek at the first concert for the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra.  The season kicks off with The Heavenly Life, featuring soloist Lynnette Chambers.  The audience will also hear world renowned cellist Amit Peled perform Dvorak's Cello Concerto.  Greg Straughn, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Abilene Christian University, speaks with Maestro David Itkin about the first concert of the season on September 28th.

Zane Goggans is originally from Arlington, Texas, and graduated from ACU with a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2013. In the past, Zane has worked as a KACU announcer and reporter from 2009 to 2013. In January of 2016 he came back to KACU and now serves as the Programming and Operations Director. He is currently working on his M.Div. at ACU and is married to Jessie Goggans (ACU ’14). Together they have a rescued lab-mix named Roxy.
