Like all areas of healthcare, hospice has faced unique challenges over the past couple of years. Vaccine mandates, staffing, and other concerns presented hospice providers with new problems to solve. But those are not the only issues facing that segment of healthcare.

Dr. Lauren Templeton, is medical director at Hendrick Hospice Care. Hendrick recently announced that Dr. Templeton will be joining the Regulatory Committee of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, serving a two-year term. In a conversation with KACU she shared her vision of what she hopes to take to the committee and what she hopes to gain for local hospice care.

Heather Claborn joined KACU as news director in January 2018. She oversees daily newscast and feature reporting and works with KACU’s news anchors to develop newscasts. She also conducts two-way interviews, reports for newscast and feature stories and maintains the station’s social media and website content. In 2020, Claborn helped staff develop the daily newsletter that is delivered by email.
