James Sargent is running for the Place 5 seat on the Abilene City Council, challenging incumbent Kyle McAlister. Sargent owns the mechanic shop Auto Aide L.L.C. He says the main points of his platform are making Abilene a “Sanctuary City for the Unborn'' and increasing transparency about how city funds are being spent. Sargent describes his motivation for running, his plans for Abilene, his support for Abilene becoming a Sanctuary City for the Unborn, and his ideas about economic development.
