The Abilene Ballet Theater will bring Clara, the Mouse King, and dozens of other dancers to the stage of the Historic Paramount Theatre for the 36th year of The Nutcracker.

The Abilene Ballet Theatre will kick off the holidays with The Nutcracker this weekend. The beautiful sets, costumes and music have sparked the Christmas spirit for generations. The performers ranging in age from elementary school to mature adults have spent countless hours preparing to take their places on stage.

The company had its first rehearsal on the Paramount stage Monday night. President of the Abilene Ballet Theatre Board of Directors, Kate Ferguson says being in the Paramount Theatre is truly magical and that she is very appreciative of all the community support the Nutcracker has, “I also love how people come in from all different towns to see it, and it’s a great tradition. It’s something I look forward to every year.”

The ballet has scheduled four performances starting Friday night. Check out AbileneBalletTheater.org for more information.
