World Series trophy tour ends with a stop in Abilene

The Texas Rangers brought their World Series trophy to Abilene yesterday. It was the last of eleven stops on their Winter Caravan. The free event offered fans a chance to pose with the trophy for a photo, and those who arrived early got autographs from pitchers Cody Bradford and Jonathan Hernandez.

Rosie Holmes has been a Ranger’s fan since the 1990s. She says she has been to quite a few Ranger’s games, “Since about 2010, that was my first world series. And we went up until they won. We were supposed to go to game six of the World Series, but they won it before we could go, which is okay.”

Holmes says she would love to see the Rangers play in person in the upcoming season.

The 2023 Major League World Champions take on the Chicago Cubs for the season opener of the 2024 season on March 28th at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
