Johnson challenges Arrington for District 19 seat

Katie Pantoja

Texans have started casting early ballots in the General Election.

In Texas’s 19th Congressional District, voters can choose among three candidates. Republican Jodey Arrington is the incumbent, being challenged by Independent candidate Nathan Lewis and Libertarian candidate Bernard Johnson.

Johnson got his Bachelor’s Degree from McMurry University and his Masters in Education from Abilene Christian University. He’s currently a special education teacher in Lueders.

He’s running against Arrington on a platform advocating small government, addressing immigration and border security from a multi-pronged approach, boosting access to mental health services, and promoting generational agriculture programs among other things.
