Early voting for the 2024 General Election has officially begun, and there are three candidates on the ballot for Texas's 19th Congressional District.

The incumbent candidate, Republican Jodey Arrington, does not have a Democratic challenger this election. Instead, Libertarian Bernard Johnson and Independent Candidate Nathan Lewis are offering a different choice for the district. Nathan Lewis, who previously challenged Arrington back in 2022, is the Independent candidate vying for this position.

Lewis grew up in Nebraska and studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has been a Lubbock resident since 2006. Among other things, Lewis's platform has focused on promoting sustainability and clean energy, creating trust between lawmakers and citizens through governmental transparency, and tackling the issue of greed.
