This primary season has drawn a larger than usual number of candidates trying to capture their party’s nomination to run for Congress in the general election in November. 252 candidates are running in Texas’s 38 congressional races. That’s prompted in part by redrawn political lines, and by ten open seats this year, including Tx-19, held for the past decade by Congressman Jodey Arrington.

One of the newcomers in this race is Abraham Enriquez, who graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2018 with a degree in political science. He’s the founder and president of the organization Bienvenido.
