ACU Summit

ACU Summit

ACU's Summit (formerly Lectureship) is a two-day event on the campus of Abilene Christian University designed to offer spiritual renewal, enrichment, and fellowship.

This spring, Summit will focus around specific leadership groups—family ministry, Hispanic ministry, preaching, and worship ministry—in an effort to engage with God, with one another, and with material designed to equip one for effective service. We will also host a general interest group, open to everyone, that will examine the book of Hebrews and its living nature.

On Thursday evening, noted author and historian, Dr. Kristin Kobes Du Mez, will lead our Anchor Point plenary session where she will discuss the intersection of religion, gender, and politics as expressed in her book Jesus and John Wayne. In addition to the thought-provoking words of Du Mez, we will spend time enjoying a meal together and lifting our voices in praise to God with worship led by Stephen Maxwell from North Atlanta (Georgia) Church of Christ.

Friday morning will continue with focused ministry communities and sessions, and then Summit will conclude with an ACU Praise Day Chapel.

We invite you to join us in Abilene on March 30-31, 2023.
