ACU Summit

ACU Summit

ACU's Summit (formerly Lectureship), held on the campus of Abilene Christian University, is designed to offer spiritual renewal, enrichment, and fellowship. The theme for this 118th year is “Woven Together: The Power of Biblical Narratives.”

This year, Summit will focus around specific leadership groups—adult formation, children’s ministry, Hispanic ministry, preaching, and rural churches—in an effort to engage with God, with one another, and with material designed to equip one for effective service. We will also host two general interest tracks, open to everyone. The Old Testament community will examine the narratives found in Exodus, and the New Testament community will center its study on Luke 13.

As part of Summit, noted theologian and author, Dr. Anna Carter Florence, will lead our Anchor Point plenary session where she will examine the powerful stories of the women in Jesus’s genealogy and the wisdom they bring to the church today. In addition to the thought-provoking words of Dr. Florence, we will spend time enjoying a meal together and lifting our voices in praise to God with worship led by United Voice Worship. We are also excited to welcome keynote speakers, Alejandro Ezquerra (University Church of Christ in Abilene, TX), Robby John (Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland, TX), and Josh Ross (Sycamore View Church of Christ in Memphis, TN) as they reflect on the theme of “Woven Together.”

We invite you to join us in Abilene on October 16-18, 2024. For more information and to register, visit the Summit website at acu.edu/siburt-summit.
