Jody Klotz is pleased to present Alice Baber: Colors of the Rainbow. This is the gallery’s first solo exhibition of the paintings of Alice Baber (1928-1982). The exhibition at Jody Klotz Fine Art features oil paintings and works on paper dating from 1960 to 1981 offering an expansive view of her stylistic evolution and exciting use of color and form. The show highlights the range of Baber’s abstract images, which earned her a place in the permanent collections of dozens of museums, both in the United States and abroad. In New York City alone, Baber’s paintings are in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
