St. James' Living Last Supper

St. James' Living Last Supper

St. James United Methodist Church is pleased to announce the upcoming performances of the 2024 edition of the Living Last Supper. Performances will take place on Friday, March 22nd, Saturday, March 23rd, Sunday, March 24th, and Thursday, March 28th. All performances are at 7pm.

Based on the portrait “The Last Supper”, by Leonardo daVinci, and adapted from the 1954 work of Ernest K. Emurian and originally produced at Cherrydale United Methodist Church in Arlington, Virginia, The Living Last Supper was first produced at St. James in 1997 when the Rev. Curtis Cadenhead approached the church ‘s worship committee with the idea. Based on DaVinci’s painting, The Living Last Supper features each disciple speaking of his concerns, and asking the same question, “Is it I?”, after their soliloquy.

For more information about these productions, to request posters or graphics, and to arrange interviews or appearances, please contact Mike Stephens, director, Living Last Supper, at mwstep316@gmail.com or at 325-513-2706.

St. James United Methodist Church was founded in 1962, and we believe that Jesus Christ came to reveal the fullness of God's love for us, and we continue to celebrate that love through praise, sacraments, service, and community.
