Liz Case is running for the Republican nomination in the 2026 race for Texas House District 71.

As voters prepare to cast their ballots in Texas’s 2026 primary election, some races on the ballot are more crowded than usual.

Stan Lambert, who has represented District 71 since he was first elected in 2016, is not seeking re-election this term.

There are four Republican candidates competing for the nomination in the general election, where they will face the sole Democratic candidate, Diana Luna.

Republican, Liz Case, lost to Lambert in the 2024 republican primary election by a small margin of 2.4%. Case is running for the State House District 71 seat again this election.

Case graduated from Texas Christian University in 1986, and her career experience includes working as a political activist.
