Spread your Wings on the Wind at the annual Science and Nature festival, Saturday October 17, 2026 at Abilene State Park from 10 am to 2 pm. The park entrance fee is $5 per car and the festival is free. Enjoy family fun with science and nature stations and game activities. Visitors can check their wingspan, learn how to cast a fishing rod, throw a dart with an atlatl and explore the solar system. Bring a picnic lunch or visit the food truck, HTeaO and spend the day.
The event is brought to you by the Big Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists, a group of well-informed volunteers providing education, outreach and services for the beneficial management of natural resources in Texas communities. It is sponsored by TAMU Agrilife Extention Service and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Join us for the fourth annual West Texas Wine Festival, a fundraising event supporting Frontier Texas. There will be music, food trucks, wine, and more to enjoy during the festival (located at the Frontier Texas Outdoor Parade Grounds). This annual tradition brings the community together to remember loved ones through joyful activities and mindful celebrations. This centuries-old holiday from Mexico is now celebrated internationally, spreading vibrant cultural traditions such as sugar skulls, ballet folklorico, and fragrant ofrendas with it. The Grace’s annual festival includes crafts, calaveras, dance performances, face painting, and more!

We are partnering with Grain Theory to offer a Festival After Party! Stop by the brewery between 6:00pm – 10:00pm to enjoy extended festivities. From movie screenings of Coco and The Book of Life to beer specials all evening, this after party is for both kids and adults.

Everyone is invited to The Grace Museum’s FREE annual holiday festival for families on December 10. This year we are partnering with All Kind Animal Initiative and Spark Science Center to bring holiday-themed crafts inspired by our exhibition All Creatures Great and Small. Adults and children alike can enjoy participating in fun, holiday-themed crafts as they explore the museum.

Santa Claus will also be stopping by in his sleigh to give everyone some yuletide cheer! Children can share what they want for Christmas and have their photo taken with Santa in the Grace Ballroom.
