KACU To Broadcast Abilene Virtual Town Hall

KACU will preempt the first hour of All Things Considered this afternoon to bring you Coronavirus: Hope Not Hype, an Abilene Virtual Town Hall meeting.  Beginning at 3:00 p.m. KACU will broadcast the event live on 89.5 FM, and live stream it on our mobile app and website.  

When the broadcast begins, you can watch it here.

The broadcast will give local leaders the opportunity to clear up rumors and answer questions from area residents.

The Abilene Virtual Town Hall will feature:

  • Abilene Mayor Anthony Williams 
  • Abilene City Manager Robert Hanna
  • Abilene Director of Health Services Annette Lerma 
  • Abilene Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Doug Peters
  • Abilene ISD Superintendent Dr. David Young
  • Wylie ISD Superintendent Joey Light
  • United Way of Abilene CEO Dr. Cathy Ashby
