Mayoral candidate Reddy focused on safety and development

Dayakar Dasi Reddy is one of three candidates on the May ballot hoping to become the next Mayor of Abilene. The seat is open since Anthony Williams is not running for reelection. Reddy is a businessman who has lived in Abilene for 15 years. He owns Spicy India and is a former owner of several motels in Abilene and elsewhere. Now that Reddy is semi-retired, he says he wants to spend several years serving the community, and that’s why he’s running for the job of mayor.

Mr. Reddy cites FBI crime data for Abilene during our interview that he read from the website NeighborhoodScout.com.
